G Kamaraj the young director and producer convinced Mohan with the story of Sutta Pazham luring him to try his luck once again on the big screen.The makers claim that it is a ‘comedy thriller’, seen never before in Tamil cinema. The story revolves around Nandakumar, an innocent bachelor who runs a resort.There is a girl played by Shuba Punja who tries to seduce the hero many times. Dressed sexily, offering him coffee or just dancing in the rain with him, she fails everytime.Interestingly, a lot of cuts were ordered by the censors for this film as it was too bold. The omitted scenes include some sexy scnes of the heroine with a doll, which are best left to the imagination.The heroine, Subha Punja, plays the role of a TV serial writer who asks the hero for a room in the resort. He has no rooms but is under pressure to keep her in his own room in order to gain money and repay his loans.When he tries to escape from her, a murder takes place and she informs the police of his absence. So the police are even more convinced that he is guilty. The movie is an adult comedy thriller but there is no vulgarity or crudeness says the makers. The seduction scenes were shot in Munnar and Chennai.Mohan decided to do this film as it fits his image of a young looking man in his 40’s and because the screenplay and story are excellent. Sree- Sam are the two new music directors of this film and the dialogues are by Thennavan. The rest of the cast includes Livingston, MS Bhasker, Sharmili, Anu Mohan, Venniraadai Murthy and Manobala.So, Mohan in an A film with the sultry Subha should be an interesting combination to watch out for.
